Nutrifit is an award-winning 6-week optimum nutrition intensive, designed to help you lose weight (if you need to), improve your body composition, boost your energy and re-think lifestyle factors that have been standing in your way. It’s a great opportunity to learn how nutrition really works so you can make informed choices that impact how well you feel each and every day. We’ll teach you our signature preventive health care strategies for balancing blood sugar and improving digestion, as well as giving you all the essential info on antioxidants, detox, the right kind of fats and choosing organics that work within your budget. To make sure that you have a truly holistic overhaul, we also dedicate a week to stress and sleep too.

Nutrifit began in 2008 when Catherine wrote the course as a one-off for a group of clients who all wanted to know one thing – how they could manage their weight in a healthy and sustainable way. By the time the first course was finished, the next one was fully booked and it snowballed from there. Every year the content is reviewed and updated so you can be sure that you’re receiving completely current guidelines within the best practices of Nutritional Therapy.

The Nutrifit programme is taught onsite for workplace wellness programs and is also regularly scheduled through the year for those who want to participate independently. View our What’s On page to see when the next one starts!

  • State of the art InBody Test to determine existing body composition and goals
  •  One to one assessment with Catherine, tailoring the program to your needs and preferences

  •  6 one hour nutrition classes covering key fundamentals and advanced concepts
  • Label reading and grocery store tur
  • Weekly meal plans and recipe suggestions
  • Plan to Eat online meal-planning and recipe sharing resource

Our two week Sugar Detox is designed to wean you off the sweet with either a radical shift or a more gentle detox!  You choose your level and we’ll help you stick to your goals by providing tips on reducing cravings and tons of education to inspire and motivate you. We also have a huge range of recipes designed to filter out the sugar without compromising on taste!

You can participate as an individual or family. The Sugar Detox is also available as a worksite wellness option.

Season 10 is here!! 

Season 10 kicks off with our info session on October 5th, with training beginning October 9th. General information below but for all this season's specific details, please click here! 

Beat the Couch is a realistic, rewarding and achievable running program for those who are new or nearly-new to running. We can get almost anyone off the couch and 5K fit in just 10 weeks. In May 2013, 47 beginner or “lapsed” runners, achieved their 5K target and had an amazing time doing it. That was 92% of our original intake – a really rewarding statistic for everyone! Since then, over 550 participants have beaten the couch… and you can too.

Beat the Couch is based on the classic “Couch to 5K” concept – but offers the extra support of a group environment with expert trainers who will monitor your progress in person and guide your technique. In addition, our Nutritional Therapist Catherine Burns will show you how to make dietary choices that optimize your energy, mood, performance and recovery. You also have the opportunity to track your weight, percentage body fat and inch-loss at fortnightly intervals.

Training involves just three 45 minute training sessions a week. Our end goal is for you to take part in an official 5K race. Not only that, but you will have the chance to Beat the Couch, literally.  Our couch-on-wheels is pushed around the route by some of Bermuda's running elite, and the challenge is to beat them to the finish line!

If you have limited free time or frequently travel, don’t worry. We have training options every single day and podcast training that you can use as a back-up. Many of our participants have trained with us twice a week and independently once a week. Ultimately this is an extremely flexible programme.
